WHAT ARE DIRECT SERVICES?

Direct Services are how prevention reaches people in our community. Through programs, education, activities, and meaningful connections, we work directly with youth, families, and community members to build skills, strengthen protective factors, and support healthier communities.

STRENGTHENING FAMILIES PROGRAM 10-14

(SFP 10-14)

The Strengthening Families Program 10–14 is a family-focused program that helps strengthen relationships between parents, caregivers, and youth. Through interactive activities and conversations, families build skills in communication, setting boundaries, managing challenges, and making healthy choices. The program provides a welcoming space for families to connect, learn, and grow together.

We currently plan 2 classes a school year for our Yakima School District families. 1 class in English and 1 class in Spanish.

CURRICULUM BASED SUPPORT GROUP BRIGHTER DAYS

(CBSG)

Rainbow Days, also known as Brighter Days, is a youth-focused program that helps young people build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and develop healthy ways to navigate life’s challenges. Through engaging activities and supportive conversations, youth have opportunities to build confidence, express themselves, and recognize their strengths. The program provides a safe and welcoming space where young people can connect, learn, and grow.

Currently we are hosting 2 groups at Hoover Elementary. If you are interested in collaborating with the coalition and provide this opportunity to your students please connect with us.
